In 2005 we held a very successful harp construction workshop run by Christoph Locherbach, at which ten Bohemian small harps were built in the blackhouse at the foot of our croft. Wendy Stewart and her husband Alan were a big part of the success of that week, bringing their friendship with Christoph and experience of working with him in Bavaria for many years, and allowing us all to meet and become friends to a truly wonderful man. The week of construction, companionship, music and good food and wine was truly memorable.

This year, Christoph is again running a construction workshop, but in Dumfries near the home of Alan and Wendy. The workshop dates are 27-30 July 2006.
